Now is the Time!

It's time I should stop being a person and start being a writer! It's time stories defeat situations!

Moving On

The world is finally moving on!

Nirma has finally changed its ad from

"washing power nirma (2)
doodh si safedi, nirma se aayi,
rangeen kapade bhi khil khil jayen,
sab ki pasand nirmaaa..
washing powder nirma (2)
NIRMA!"
to some instrumental something.

In memory of the ad I request all my readers for a 2 minutes silence!

Dull

My head is hurting! Since morning all that I have done is extracted the S60 SDK and S60 sources. I guess it'll consume the night as well!

Have been hearing the song "Sindbad the Sailor" from Rock On and have developed a special liking for it now! Also, ofcourse, in my playlist is Kylie Minouges Bollywood debut Chiggy Wiggy :P

I am losing it, but wait, am I?

Who?

I wonder who has written the first ever "Hello World!" program irrespective of technology! He could have made it a patent! "Basic program" in IT is a synonym to "Hello World"!! How cool is that!

The Flute

My hands fumbled.
The room was locked. They tried to break through the slightest of hope. There was panic, havock and confusion. It was getting dark. They banged into one another several times and hurt themselves in the panic. Some kneeled down and screamt aloud. The black ones fought hard. They destroyed anyone who came their way. The pink ones cornered themselves and wept. All of them banged the walls with all the force they had. No escape. As the clock ticked they got stronger. As the clock ticked they increased in number. The faster they increased the more chocked they felt. The green ones piggybacked on the black ones and tried to break the doors. The blue and the white ones teamed together and tried to calm the rest down. There was murder, there was birth but there was no escape. The drums played loud and bold. Flute seeped in from the keyholes. They melted in the sound of the flute.
I signed in to my blog and all the doors opened. They flowed out in a harmony with ease and grace.
My thoughts finally flowed out.

:) :| :(

Sometimes I really wonder if I'm becoming what I'm not. There are several changes in me. I cannot say if they're good or not. Whatever! What's bothering me is that will be happy wearing a mask? How long? Am I wearing a mask? Why am I doing so? Where am I? I'm confused and that makes me feel better because I've always been confused!

Anyways the changes that I have noticed in myself are (in the most significant to less significant order) :

1) I have put on weight. :)
2) I don't abuse or curse now. :
3) I bitch a little less. :
4) I often feel matured and responsible. :(
5) I paint very little. :(
6) I blog very little. :(
7) I eat more. :(

My analytical skills have become sharp after a few months of "corporate"!

:) Good
: Dunno
:( Bad

Simple!

"Its very simple to make things complex"!

This line's not mine, it's what Nokia believes and teaches. However, I found it a fascinating fact and also realized that I have excelled the art of making things simply complicated (just like this sentence!).

Somehow, this also reminds me of an idea I had read in the book Shantaram. It said that the world is moving towards the "ultimate complexity" beyond which lies His shelter. Goodness me, let me stop here!

The Pen Holder on my Desk

In this strange world where thousands of unexplained thoughts float in the space waiting to be considered I discover a new light! Sometimes acutely disconnected objects get discreetly linked to one another by the medium of thought. For example, cheese flavored chips remind me of an old friend of mine. I was narrating her stories to someone on some day while I ate those cheese flavored chips. I don't remember who was I talking to but I associate cheesy chips with that ol' friend till today! Similarly, the pen holder on my office desk sings the song :

"Tere bina zindagi se koi shikwa toh nahi,
shikwa nahi, shikwa nahi,
Tere bina zindagi bhi lekin zindagi nahi,
zindagi nahi, zindagi nahi!"

Additional Information : Ganpati bappa I miss you too :( Hyd is not very enthusiastic about Ganesh Chathurti. Bhude!

Contemplation

A break for a few weeks can work miracles. Recently, with nothing better to do, I have been studying my habits of decision making. The bad news is I absolutely suck at taking the right decisions. The good news is that now I know I suck at taking good decisions. In the last six months I have made some of the most pathetic decisions, both, professionally and personally. I've been chasing shadows and mocking at real oppertunities! I've been overly ambitious with a zero effort in making it come true. I was underemployed, not because I didn't have the skills, not because I didn't look at the right places, not because I couldn't crack them, but only because I kicked them aside! After getting recruited at the firm I worked for I had two job offers, I was selected in both, both more challenging and more fun but I rejected both. Why? Because I was blinded and because I am a fool by birth. No, I'm serious. Whenever (if at all) I've taken a wise decision it's taken a lot of hard work and contemplation, actually, naturally, I am a fool. That was the professional screw up. At the personal level I was no better! Some of the worse decisions of my life again. I trusted the wrong people. Listened to worse people. I had friends constantly warning me but alas!

However, there's a hidden treasure in all this dirt. I take my own decisions atleast. It's a big thing for me. I'm the overprotected types. I've always been safe under the family shell, scared to take my own decisions. I'm glad I'm headed somewhere. Life is just a game. Sometimes you win, else you learn. Works for me. My absolute funda of life is, go goof up as many times you want to, no one cares as long as you stand responsible for it.

You make a mistake, you pay the price, everyone's happy, you are wise!

P.S : I learnt 2 new things recently:
1) Drinking too much water can kill you.
http://www.abc.net.au/science/news/stories/s904374.htm
2) "Don't try too hard". Certain things/issues take time.

Tired!

I'm a little tired of of seeing tired eyes. I'm a little tired of watching wrinkled frowing foreheads. I'm a little tired of watching people being pushed aside. I'm a little tired of being pushed aside myself & maybe even tired of pushing others aside! A little tired of searching. A little tired of hoping. A little tired of praying. A little tired of waiting. A little tired of clinging on. A little tired of pushing through. A little tired of crying. A little tired of holding my tears back. A little tired of thinking and a little tired of brushing questions away from my head. A little tired of making decisions and a little tired of falling back on fate!

The fire in me sleepishly fights the stormy winds. I fight my rapidly strenthening weaker side! I will not give in so soon, I will not surrender. I am angry with my Gods and will not talk to them till they don't answer my questions. My faith is unshakable, I know They'll answer me!

To my readers, maybe a few inspiring comments would make my day!!

(I'm feeling like a contestant pleading for votes in some reality contest!! ( I don't believe my humour is still breathing!!))

Kit Kat break banta hai!!

When in college I often wondered what happens in an office if one finishes work. The answer was simple I wonder why it never occured to me. One gets more work. Why don't offices ever run out of work?

There is a Kit kat on the desk in front of me. I am dying to eat it but I won't. Sadly, it's not mine :-(

Routine!

Though I always keep looking for excitment and thrill and something new in life, routine is dear to me too! Mon-Fri fly by. Weekends fly yet faster!! This basically means I am growing old to soon but it's worthy I guess.

Every morning I take the same bus to the station. I have developed a fondness for the conductor. Tall and strong, he comes with that sound of the tool (or whatever you call it) with which they make a hole in the ticket. The sound is like a "Heya! Good Morning" for me. I give him the exact fare. He wears a greyish white stubble. His spectacle perched on his big nose have bifocal glasses and he looks through them at a strange angle. I've seen him only in the khakhi uniform but I reckon had he worn something else he'd look messy. The bag he carries on his shoulder (one holding the tickets and the other change) pulls his shirt down a little exposing a little more of the brown, burnt skin. I wonder if he recognises me too.

Then I take the same train to work. A few similar faces and a few one everyday. I'd smile at the similar one's but they'd doubt I was a terrorist maybe. A lady with short black hair wearing a loose shirt over loosely fit pants stands at the door everyday. She would eaisly pass for a man had she not been in the women's compartment. As I walk down the bridge, coincidently, I land up walking behind the same old man. He walks really slow. I follow his steady steps for a while observing the world racing ahead of him. Then I race ahead too! I've never seen his face because I have never bothered to turn back after moving ahead. From behind all I've seen is that he walks with a stick and has lost most of his hair. He's kinda fat and really ill dressed. Strange that I recognise a man but not his face!

After reaching office I feel sleepy eveyday! I love my routine ;)

The Mynah.

The sun exerted an unbearable pressure from above. I felt the heat on my head as if some sumo wrestler had been paid to dig me down into the floor. A fine sumo wrestler would have done it with one hand. My throat lusted for a single drop of water! An October afternoon in Mumbai, at an overcrowded Dadar station, is no trivial battle to win! Thousands of soilders marched in hurried synchronization with the trains that made guest appearances on the platforms. I stood amongst a multitude of humans pretending, with all their energy, to be wild carnivorous animals fighting over the last, lame piece of flesh before them. "Thank God I am not a train" I thought to myself! Fatigue. I was exhausted. I frequently held my hand on my stomach to soothe my aching liver like a worried but helpless mother patting a cranky child. Even admidst all the crazy activity around me I managed to view the ground around me. I stood in a pool of the dried brown spit of paan. Had I been in another world & a different situation I would surely shriek and move away. However, all I did was look up again. I survived. I won over yet another October afternoon in Mumbai. The sweet gray of evening surrounded me. The mynah coo cooed.
